A tour of the castle is like stepping into the 1800s!

The castle is home to Scandinavia’s most complete and undisturbed 19th century interior. All the styles of the period are represented and the art collection, along with its prints, is regarded as a magnificent example of 19th century drawing room art.

17th century architecture can be clearly seen in the castle’s cellars, and the kitchen with its vaulted ceiling shows that not all historical traces were lost during the castle’s 19th century modernization. For a while the kitchen was used for cookery lessons.
